Ampersand Floaterframe for Flat and 7/8 Deep Artwork, 10x10, Black Thin

At Ampersand, we noticed that the floater frames available to artists did not properly accommodate wooden panels. We observed that the base of the frame did not align with the panel's cradle, and the front of the frame did not protect the face of the artwork. Ampersand remedied these issues by expanding the base of its Floaterframe to match up with the cradle of a wooden panel and extending the frame profile, so the artwork sits just below the front of the frame, protecting the artwork from damage. We also added countersunk holes on the back for the hardware, ensuring that the screws used to attach the artwork to the frame do not protrude. This keeps your artwork flush with the wall and prevents the screws from scratching it.

Not only did we create a better frame, but we also went one step further. Everything you need to frame your artwork is included, from the eye screws and coated wire to the screws that attach to the artwork, and bumper pads for the back corners. Even the hook and nail are included, so you can display your newly framed artwork with ease.

Are you framing a flat panel without a cradle? The 7/8" depth option includes a set of riser blocks in the hardware pack, providing a great solution for displaying your artwork on a panel, even if the panel doesn't have cradles.

Ampersand offers two great styles of Floaterframes to choose from: the Bold style, with a dramatic wide facing, and the Thin style, with an elegant, narrow facing. Both styles are available in Black, White, Maple, and Walnut, and are suitable for 7/8" and 1 1/2" depth artwork on cradled panels or stretched canvas.

With the Bold style, the outer dimensions are the same for both depths, allowing artists to frame artworks with different cradle depths in uniform frames. The Thin style, on the other hand, has a more shallow outer profile for the 7/8" depth compared to the deeper 1 1/2" profile. This design is ideal for use as a canvas frame and is tailored for Ampersand panels.
